Tuk tuk is the most popular mode of transport in Cambodia, the older style being two-wheel carriages that are pulled by motorbike. The newer, smaller style that is being used by ride hailing apps that holds less people is decidedly cheaper than the older style. Again, there’s no shortage of tuk tuks — although the number drastically decreases after about 10pm — waiting to take tourists about, usually at heavily inflated prices. If using the Apps, the price is set but if not, be sure to negotiate your price before you start your journey, as not to be overcharged. Also, carry around a pocketful of small dollar bills and riel because it’s rare your driver will have change.
