The market was built by the French when Cambodia was under colonial rule. When it first opened in 1937, it was said to be the biggest market in Asia, and today it still operates as a market. From 2009 to 2011, it was renovated that funded by the French Development Agency.

On the ground floor you will find the largest number of stalls. They sell fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, fish, bread, cheese, cold cuts, etc., basically the main foodstuffs representing Hungarian cuisine of the highest quality. You can also try the famous kifli, i.e. a crescent bread filled with cheese or meat.
How do you use central market?
Before you can sell or purchase items on the Central Market, you will need to place the item in your Marketplace Warehouse or have silver funds in your Warehouse. To do this, you will need to go to a Marketplace Director NPC. Once you have arrived, speak to the NPC by pressing “R”, then select Central Market.
