Description

Kampot Province, a tourism destination with rich potential in southern Cambodia, continues to expand its tourism potential with new developments at the beginning of 2025. With scenic landscapes along the Prek Tuk River, Bokor Mountain, and local products such as pepper and salt, Kampot is attracting increasingly more domestic and international tourists.

Specifically, a 320-meter pedestrian bridge is currently about 60% constructed in the Fishing Community of Kampong Samaki, located in Tuk Commune, Kampot Province. This rattan-style bridge is expected to be 100% completed before the upcoming traditional Khmer New Year, with the community committee carefully overseeing its construction, supported by the ADA Akysun organization.

Simultaneously, the giant watch statue, designed in a Khmer architectural style, stands 35 meters tall with a dial nearly 10 meters in diameter. This landmark was inaugurated in August 2024. New development projects like the sea horse statue, giant watch, and the pedestrian bridge under construction are expected to attract even more tourists to the province in the coming years.
