Yeak Laom Volcanic Lake

The beautiful Lake Yeak Laom is located about 5 km from central Banlung. An oval-shaped walkway surrounds the lake, allowing visitors to enjoy a peaceful stroll around its crystal-clear waters.

🌿 Nature & Surroundings
This stunning area is part of Virachey National Park, known for its exciting trekking routes and breathtaking waterfalls. Many people love to start their morning here with a cup of the famous Ratanakiri coffee ☕.

🚗 The Journey
I visited the lake with my friends on a weekend. After a 30-minute drive from Banlung, passing through rubber plantations and winding mountainous roads, we finally arrived at this natural paradise.

🍃 First Impression
As soon as we reached the lake, a fresh, cool breeze welcomed us, instantly lifting our spirits. The lake shimmered like a precious gem set in a giant ring, with still waters creating a magical and euphoric atmosphere.

🍽️ Food & Relaxation
Feeling hungry, we decided to have lunch. After some time, we enjoyed the best barbecue fish with rice in this serene setting. Nearby huts allowed us to take a relaxing nap and fully enjoy the calm environment.

🏡 Memories
After a few hours, we headed back home, carrying unforgettable memories—like extra baggage filled with joy.

Cambodia is truly blessed with countless scenic spots waiting to be discovered. I was deeply impressed by the cleanliness and excellent arrangements maintained by the lake organizers—hats off to them 👏.
